Tea and coffee will be served after Mass next Sunday.
There is a training day for Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Communion and Readers in Shrewsbury towards the end of September – date to be confirmed.
CAP Debt Centre Volunteer Posts
The Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Debt Centre has a number of volunteer roles available, below are some brief details. All roles require a full confidentiality agreement to be signed, and a character reference from the Volunteer’s Minister/Vicar, some roles require training at CAP Head Office, Jubilee Mill, Bradford. Please contact Gill Carley (07855460655) for further details: –
1) Debt Coach (8 hours p/week, requires full CAP Bradford interview & selection and full training at Bradford, in line with Financial Conduct Authority regulations)
2) Community Links Co-ordinator (2 hours a week and training at Bradford, promoting all 3 CAP Services, including networking to potential Referral Agencies)
3) Grants and Funding Co-ordinator (2 hours a week and training at Bradford, applying to Trust Funds/Charities for financial assistance to help support the work of all 3 CAP services)
4) Debt Centre office Administrator (1 hour a week, posting out birthday cards to CAP Clients and general paperwork filing and shredding documents)
Please note that Children’s Liturgy will not be held during the School Summer Holidays.
The Church will be open for prayer during the summer through to the end of August on week days until 7pm.
Foodbank – Thank you – Feeding Children this Summer
The Foodbank would like to thank you for all your kind and generous donations over the past weeks and are now only low in stock of the following. To date, 66 children have been fed with 330 meals over the school holidays – thank you.

There is currently an acute shortage of Foundation Governors at schools within the Telford and Wrekin Local Authority, namely at Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Primary School, Newport; St Luke’s Catholic Primary School, Trench, and The Holy Trinity Academy in Wellington.
