Tea and Coffee

Tea and coffee will be served after Mass today in the Church Hall, please join us, all welcome.


Extraordinary Ministers

There is a training session for Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Communion and Readers at Shrewsbury Cathedral on Saturday 23rd September 10am – 1pm. It would be great if Ministers and Readers from Market Drayton could attend. If you will be attending and/or can give car lifts, please put your details on the list in the Church Porch to let others know.


PPC Committee Meeting

The next Parish Pastoral Committee Meeting will take place on Monday 11th September at 7pm.


CAP Debt Centre Volunteer Posts

The Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Debt Centre has a number of volunteer roles available, below are some brief details. All roles require a full confidentiality agreement to be signed, and a character reference from the Volunteer’s Minister/Vicar, some roles require training at CAP Head Office, Jubilee Mill, Bradford. Please contact Gill Carley (07855460655) for further details: –

1) Debt Coach (8 hours p/week, requires full CAP Bradford interview & selection and full training at Bradford, in line with Financial Conduct Authority regulations)

2) Community Links Co-ordinator (2 hours a week and training at Bradford, promoting all 3 CAP Services, including networking to potential Referral Agencies)

3) Grants and Funding Co-ordinator (2 hours a week and training at Bradford, applying to Trust Funds/Charities for financial assistance to help support the work of all 3 CAP services)

4) Debt Centre office Administrator (1 hour a week, posting out birthday cards to CAP Clients and general paperwork filing and shredding documents).


Children’s Liturgy

Please note that Children’s Liturgy will restart on Sunday 24th September.


Prayer for Persecuted Christians

The next Churches Together prayer session for persecuted Christians will be held on Thursday 14th September at 7:30pm. The venue is Wollerton URC School Room, Wood Lane, Wollerton. Date for your Diaries

The International Day of Prayer for Persecuted Christians this year is Sunday 19th November. In Market Drayton, we will be participating in this with joint prayer sessions between 10am and 1pm on Saturday 18th November. Further details to follow.
