Please note that there will be no Mass this Tuesday.

 

Reader’s Rota

Copies of the new rota are available in the Church porch to take home. Please note there are now 2 readers – one for the 1st reading and Psalm and one for the 2nd reading. Should either one of the readers be unavailable, the other can do both readings. If you are unable to read, please try to get somebody to replace you, otherwise, please contact Dave Hunt on 01630 657619.

 

Harvest Fast Day: Friday 6 October 2017

If you wish to donate, please place completed CAFOD envelopes in the main collection or cheques can be sent directly to CAFOD in the same envelopes.

 

Parish History

Work continues on the production of the Parish History by Tim Strickland and Father Anthony. The Diocesan Archives have turned out to be a mine of useful information about the lives of our earlier Parish Priests and this will make the story much more complete. If any of you have photographs or additional information please draw it to our attention.

 

Hymn Book Amnesty

Please return to Church any hymn books that you may have taken home – thank you!

 

CAP Job Club

15/10/2017 Annual CAP (Christians against Poverty) Service to be held at the Methodist Church at 6pm.

Men’s Churches Together Mission – new venture proposed by CTOG to run Joint events as an outreach to the local community

CAP/Foodbank – Can you help with a regular donation to CAP and/or the Foodbank? Donations gratefully received to help with future budgeting for these valuable community projects.

PPC Committee Meeting

The minutes from the latest Parish Pastoral Committee Meeting are available in the Church Porch.

 

Parish Christmas Fayre

Our Christmas Fayre will be held on Saturday 25th Nov this year – donations of cakes, bottles (tombola) and raffle prizes will be gratefully received. Please advertise to your family, friends and Community. Donations can be left in the box in the Porch.

 

Buttercross to Bethlehem

Support is still required for the planning of this year’s Buttercross to Bethlehem. Lots of involvement is needed from all the churches. Would anybody who is interested in helping, please contact the Methodist Church Minister – Ruth. Thank you.

 

Christmas Angels

These are being distributed again this year around Market Drayton with the aim of sharing God’s love and to bless the community in public places/spaces with a Christmas message. An Appeal has been made for people to knit/crochet them – copies of the pattern are in the Church porch.

 

Market Drayton Foodbank Combined Harvest Appeal

The Foodbank is asking for your support with food and funds this harvest: Donate Food: help by donating an item or two from the Harvest Shopping list to provide for people in crisis. Donate Money: Help to cover the costs of storing and distributing food. Further information including shopping lists are available in the Church Porch. Thank you.
