Tea and coffee will be served after Mass today in the Church Hall. Everyone welcome, please join us.

 

Christmas Mass Times

Saturday 23rd December:

5pm: Vigil Mass for 4th Sunday of Advent

 

Sunday 24th December (Christmas Eve):

NOTE – THERE WILL BE NO MASS AT 11AM

4.30pm: Christmas Carols

5pm: Evening Mass of the Vigil

 

Monday 25th December (Christmas Day):

11am: Mass of The Nativity of The Lord

 

Readers for the Christmas Services

If anybody can volunteer to read for any of the Christmas Services, please put your name down on the rota in the Church Porch – thank you.

 

Christmas Church Cleaning

Please can we have volunteers to help clean the Church for Christmas on Sunday 24th December at 10am. If you are able to help, please contact Helen McSherry – 01630 638177.

 

Walk with Me Booklets

Copies of the ‘Walk with Me’ booklets, a journey of prayer for Advent and Christmas are available in the Church Porch for £1

 

Seats at the back of Church

The ‘orange chairs’ at the back of church have been reserved to give priority to families with small children. There are nearly always pews vacant at the front of Church so please do come forward. Pushchairs may be left in the Church porch away from the door. Thank you.

 

Parish Christmas Fayre

Thank you very much to everybody who organised, helped and supported the Parish Christmas Fayre last week. Funds raised to be confirmed.

 

Prayer for Persecuted Christians

The next Churches Together prayer session will be held on Thurs 7th December starting at 7:30pm. The venue is the home of Ivan and Edna Perry, 3 Sandringham Close, off Rowan Drive, Market Drayton. Market Drayton Foodbank Advent Appeal

The foodbank is appealing for people to donate food by taking a box/bag and adding an item from the Foodbank shopping list each day from 1st December until Christmas Day. Bags/boxes can then be left either at Church or at the Foodbank when it is open: Tuesdays 10-11.30am and Fridays 12.30-2pm. Further details can be found on the poster in the Church Porch.

 

Children’s Liturgy

There will be no Children’s Liturgy on Sundays 3rd and 10th December.

 

Reader’s Rota

Please note there are now 2 readers – one for the 1st reading and Psalm and one for the 2nd reading. Should either one of the readers be unavailable, the other can do both readings. If you are unable to read, please try to get somebody to replace you, otherwise, please contact Dave Hunt on 01630 657619.

 

Buttercross to Bethlehem – Volunteers required

Sign-up sheets are in the Church Porch for those wishing to volunteer for ‘Buttercross to Bethlehem’ on Sunday 17th Dec at 4.30pm. Stewards, Angels and Shepherds are needed, further info from Ruth Jeffries at revruthjeffries@gmail.com.
