Easter Message

Fr Anthony and Deacon David wish all Parishioners and Visitors the blessing and joy of Our Lord’s glorious resurrection which we celebrate at Easter.

Welcome and thank you to Fr Tony who will be celebrating Easter Vigil Mass with us.

 

Easter Flower Collection

Thank you for your generous donations last week. If anybody missed the collection last week and would like to give a donation, there will be a basket in the Church Porch – thank you.

 

Tea and Coffee

There will be tea, coffee and hot cross buns served after Mass next Sunday 8th April instead of the usual first Sunday of the month. Please join us in the Church Hall, all welcome.

 

Easter Monday – Mass at Newport

Mass will be celebrated at Ss Peter & Paul Newport at 10am on Easter Monday.

 

Maundy Thursday Mass

A special thanks from Fr Anthony to the Parishioners who came down to Newport for the Maundy Thursday Mass.

 

Offertory Envelopes – please collect

Next year’s offertory envelopes are available in the Church Porch – please collect. New envelopes start on Sunday 8th April. If you prefer to donate by standing order or wish to join the gift aid scheme, please see Helen McSherry for more information.

 

Gift Aid

The tax year 2017/18 is coming to an end and the Parish will be undertaking the process of claiming back Gift Aid on donations made during the year. If your circumstances have changed and you no longer pay income tax please contact Helen McSherry by 15th April, otherwise it will be assumed you have paid sufficient income tax in the year 2017/18 for the Parish to process the claim.

 

Confirmation

Confirmation classes will start on Monday 16th April at 7pm at Ss Peter & Paul, Newport. if there is anybody else of secondary school age who would like to attend, please let Fr Anthony know.

 

Market Drayton Foodbank – Supermarket Collection

The foodbank will be holding a Supermarket Collection at Morrisons on Friday 6th April. Volunteers are urgently needed, so if you are available to help, please contact Helen McSherry on 07527 628192 or volunteer@marketdrayton.foodbank.org.uk. Foodbank – 40 Pence for 40 Days Appeal

If you have been taking part in the 40p for 40 Days Challenge, please use one of the following ways to donate the money you have collected:

Cheques, made payable to Market Drayton Foodbank should be sent to: Market Drayton Foodbank, The Parish Rooms, Church Street, Market Drayton TF9 1AF or given to Helen McSherry.

Electronic bank transfers can be made to Barclays Bank (Market Drayton), Sort Code: 20-77-85, Account no.: 53527638 quoting your full name in the reference field (optional).

Cash can be hand delivered to Helen McSherry (Manager) or Gail Ackerley (Treasurer). If you are a tax payer, please help the Foodbank to receive an extra 25p for every £1 donated at no extra cost by completing a Gift Aid Declaration – forms available in the Church porch or on the Foodbank website – https://marketdrayton.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-money/. Thank you for your donation and for helping local people in crisis!
