The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

The feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is this Friday 8th June. Mass will be celebrated at Ss Peter & Paul, Newport at 12 noon.

 

Adoremus National Eucharistic Pilgrimage & Congress

A gathering of clergy, religious and laity which promotes an awareness of the central place of the Eucharist in the life and mission of the Church. The event will be held in Liverpool:

Friday 7th September: Symposium day – workshops and speakers aimed at our catechists, RE Coordinators, Teachers, Musicians and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.

Saturday 8th September: Congress day – Cardinal Vincent Nichols and the internationally renowned speaker, Bishop Robert Barron will be opening up our faith in the Eucharist.

Sunday 9th September: Pilgrimage day – opportunities for Mass in the Metropolitan Cathedral followed by a Eucharistic Procession (1km) in the vicinity of the Cathedral.

All days: there will be many complementary events taking place in and around Liverpool.

Bring & Buy Coffee Morning

On Thursday 28th June 10-12, there will be a bring & buy coffee morning at Honeyspot Farm, Rosehill – further details to follow.

 

Market Drayton 10km Run Sponsorship

Thank you very much for all your very kind and generous donations of £420 which will be divided equally between the Alzheimer’s Society and the building of the new Church Hall.

 

The Spiritans (Holy Ghost Fathers) Collection

Thank you for your generous donations. A total of £185.10 was collected.

 

First Holy Communion

First Holy Communion will be celebrated during Sunday Mass on 24th June at 11am.

 

150th Anniversary of Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Primary School

Ss Peter & Paul Catholic School would like to hear from anybody who has any memories from the past 150 years.

 

Tea, Coffee & Piety Stall

Tea and coffee will be served after Mass today and items from the piety stall will be available in the Church Hall. Please join us, all welcome.

 

CAP Fresh Start

Open Garden

Market Drayton Macmillan Cancer Support are holding an open garden at Longford Old Hall, Longford, Market Drayton TF9 3PW on Sunday 10th June 2-5pm in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Admission £3. Please see the poster in the Church porch for further details.

 

Prayer for Persecuted Christians

The next Churches Together prayer session for persecuted Christians will be held on Thursday 14th June starting at 7:30pm. The venue is Wollerton URC School Room, Wood Lane, Wollerton.
