Easter Message

Fr Anthony and Deacon David wish all Parishioners and Visitors the blessing and joy of Our Lord’s glorious resurrection which we celebrate at Easter.


Tea and Coffee

There will be tea, coffee and hot cross buns served after Mass today. Please join us in the Church Hall, all welcome.


Maundy Thursday Mass

A special thanks from Fr Anthony to all the Parishioners who came down to Newport for the Maundy Thursday Mass.


Offertory Envelopes – please collect

Next year’s offertory envelopes are available in the Church Porch – please collect. New envelopes start today Sunday 8th April. If you prefer to donate by standing order or wish to join the gift aid scheme, please see Helen McSherry for more information.


Gift Aid

The tax year 2017/18 has come to an end and the Parish will be undertaking the process of claiming back Gift Aid on donations made during the year. If your circumstances have changed and you no longer pay income tax please contact Helen McSherry by 15th April, otherwise it will be assumed you have paid sufficient income tax in the year 2017/18 for the Parish to process the claim.


First Communion & Children’s Liturgy

Classes for First Communion and Children’s liturgy will recommence on Sunday 22nd April following the Easter holidays.



Confirmation classes will start on Monday 16th April at 7pm at Ss Peter & Paul, Newport. if there is anybody else of secondary school age who would like to attend, please let Fr Anthony know. The Confirmation Mass will be held at Shrewsbury Cathedral on Sunday 20th May (Pentecost) in the afternoon, time tbc.


Holy Places Collection

Thank you for your kind and generous donations for the Good Friday, Holy Places Collection. £141.71 was raised.


Mass Time Change on Sunday 13th May

Please note that due to the 10km run taking place, Mass will take place earlier on Sunday 13th May – time to be confirmed.


Prayer for Persecuted Christians

The next Churches Together prayer session for persecuted Christians will be held on Thursday 12th April starting at 7:30pm. The venue is Wollerton URC School Room, Wood Lane, Wollerton. Electronic bank transfers can be made to Barclays Bank (Market Drayton), Sort Code: 20-77-85, Account no.: 53527638 quoting your full name in the reference field (optional).

Cash can be hand delivered to Helen McSherry (Manager) or Gail Ackerley (Treasurer). If you are a tax payer, please help the Foodbank to receive an extra 25p for every £1 donated at no extra cost by completing a Gift Aid Declaration – forms available in the Church porch or on the Foodbank website – https://marketdrayton.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-money/. Thank you for your donation and for helping local people in crisis!
