Adoremus National Eucharistic Pilgrimage & Congress

A gathering of clergy, religious and laity which promotes an awareness of the central place of the Eucharist in the life and mission of the Church. The event will be held in Liverpool:

Friday 7th September: Symposium day – workshops and speakers aimed at our catechists, RE Coordinators, Teachers, Musicians and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.

Saturday 8th September: Congress day – Cardinal Vincent Nichols and the internationally renowned speaker, Bishop Robert Barron will be opening up our faith in the Eucharist.

Sunday 9th September: Pilgrimage day – opportunities for Mass in the Metropolitan Cathedral followed by a Eucharistic Procession (1km) in the vicinity of the Cathedral.

All days: there will be many complementary events taking place in and around Liverpool.

Day for Life Second Collection – next weekend

Day for Life is celebrated yearly by the Catholic Church in Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. It is a day dedicated to raising awareness about the meaning and value of human life at every

stage and in every condition. The proceeds

of the Day for Life collection is used for the promotion of the dignity of the human person and to fund projects that support work in this area by organisations which further this objective. Bring & Buy Coffee Morning

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the bring & buy coffee morning at Honeyspot Farm has been postponed until later in the year.


Open Garden

Market Drayton Macmillan Cancer Support are holding an open garden at Longford Old Hall, Longford, Market Drayton TF9 3PW this afternoon Sunday 10th June 2-5pm in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Admission £3. Please see the poster in the Church porch for further details.


First Holy Communion

First Holy Communion will be celebrated during Sunday Mass on 24th June at 11am.


Summer Fayre – Ellesmere

The Poor Clare’s at Ellesmere will be holding their annual Summer Fayre today – 10th June from 12.30 until 4pm.


CAP Fresh Start

150th Anniversary of Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Primary School

Ss Peter & Paul Catholic School would like to hear from parishioners, past pupils and staff who would like to share memories of the school through the decades.
