Mission Together Update and Thank You

We have finally received the total amount that the Parish realised for the Mission Together appeal. The total is £35,288.00. A huge thank you for your generosity in supporting this. 30% of the total (£10,500.00) will go towards the building of our new Church Hall.

 

Tea, Coffee and Piety Stall next weekend

Next weekend, tea and coffee will be served after Mass in the Church Hall. The Piety stall will also be open. Please come along and join us!

 

Bring & Buy Coffee Morning

A bring & buy coffee morning will be held on Thursday 6th September 10-12noon at Honeyspot Farm, Rosehill Road, TF9 2JU. Donations of cakes etc, would be very much appreciated.

 

Request for help in the Church Garden

Help is still needed to help with the Church garden please. Anybody with green fingers or who would just like to help out with a little bit of weeding etc, please contact David Milburn – thank you.

 

Friends of the Holy Land National Gathering

Christian charity, Friends of the Holy Land’s National Gathering will be held on Saturday 22nd September at 10.30am in Kenilworth at the Parish Centre, St Francis of Assisi CV8 1HL. The event is free to attend including lunch and a brief ecumenical service, and suitable for anyone wanting to find out how they might help the vulnerable Christina communities of the West Bank Gaza, Israel and Jordan. Piety Stall Christmas Goods

There is a Christmas catalogue available for anybody wishing to order Christmas Cards, calendars, nativity items, candles etc. Please see Helen McSherry for further information.

 

Market Drayton Foodbank

Thank you for your donations towards feeding children during the Summer Holidays. The Foodbank has low stock on just a few regular items at the moment:

Tinned rice pudding            Coffee                    Sponge Puddings

Tinned fruit                          Biscuits                   Shampoo

Laundry washing powder & washing up liquid

Tinned meat such as corned beef, ham & spam

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Life Skills

There will be a CAP Life Skills course taking place at the Zone Community Centre on Thursday 6th September from 12.30-2pm. This free course aims to help people with basic budgeting, cooking and confidence building over a period of 8 weeks. Please contact Sherrie Howlett on 07722 055543 for further info.
