Home Mission Sunday – Second Collection next weekend

There will be a second collection next weekend for Home Mission Sunday.


Bring & Buy Coffee Morning

Thank you very much to all those who hosted, helped and supported the bring & buy coffee morning held on Thursday at Honeyspot Farm. £140 will go each to our Church Hall fund, Severn Hospice and the Nuns at Ellesmere.


Mission Together Update and Thank You

We have finally received the total amount that the Parish realised for the Mission Together appeal. The total is £35,288.00. A huge thank you for your generosity in supporting this. 30% of the total (£10,500.00) will go towards the building of our new Church Hall.


Prayer for Persecuted Christians

The next Churches Together prayer session for persecuted Christians will be held on Thursday 13th September starting at 7:30pm. The venue is Wollerton URC School Room, Wood Lane, Wollerton. Civic Service

The Mayor of Market Drayton, Councillor Mark Whittle has chosen Ss Thomas & Stephen Church for the Civic Service this year, We/re delighted to welcome the Mayor and Councillors together with civic dignitaries and invited guests to the service today at 12.30pm. Some of our own Parishioners have been invited in an official capacity as members of organisations in the town.


Request for help in the Church Garden

Help is still needed to help with the Church garden please. Anybody with green fingers or who would just like to help out with a little bit of weeding etc, please contact David Milburn – thank you.


Friends of the Holy Land National Gathering

Christian charity, Friends of the Holy Land’s National Gathering will be held on Saturday 22nd September at 10.30am in Kenilworth at the Parish Centre, St Francis of Assisi CV8 1HL. The event is free to attend including lunch and a brief ecumenical service. Market Drayton Foodbank

The Foodbank has low stock on just a few regular items at the moment: Soup, Coffee, Sponge Puddings, Tinned fruit, Biscuits, Shampoo, Laundry washing powder & washing up liquid, Tinned meat such as corned beef, ham & spam.
