Change of Mass Time on Remembrance Sunday 11th November

Due to the Parade and Service for Remembrance Sunday being held an hour earlier this year. Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Sunday 11th November. Mass will commence with a short service in which we will remember those members of our parish who gave their lives in the First World War.

 

Solemnity of All Saints – 1st November

Mass will be held on this Holyday of obligation this Thursday 1st November at 10am. Mass is also available at Ss Peter & Paul – Newport at 7pm.

 

World Mission Sunday – thank you

Thank you very much for your contribution to last week’s World Mission Sunday collection which raised £93.37. Your prayers and donations will help missionaries across the world share the Gospel of hope with those in greatest need. Please pray for the work of Missio and all those working to offer the love of Jesus, that we may remain strong in our witness to Christ’s love for all peoples. Christmas Cards and Items available

There are Christmas cards, advent calendars/candles and other small items available to purchase in the Church Porch after Mass.

 

World War I Beacon of Light

A tribute to the 100th Anniversary of World War I will be held on Sunday 11th November at 6pm in the Town Park.

 

CAP Community Links Coordinator required

Christians Against Poverty, Market Drayton, are seeking a volunteer ‘Community Links Coordinator’ (to publicise and promote the work of all the four CAP services in the town and surrounding area). Month of the Holy Souls – November

Many Catholics wish Mass to be celebrated for deceased relatives and friends. If so, kindly place the Mass offering along with the list of names in the envelope provided and write the family name on the front. If you do not wish Mass to be said, the names can still be placed in the envelope but please omit the family name on the front. In both cases, please place the envelope before the Altar.

Market Drayton Foodbank

The Foodbank would like to convey their thanks and gratitude to all those Parishioners who have donated in the past few weeks. If you still wish to donate, a list of most urgent items is on the Foodbank website: https://marketdrayton.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food/ and includes items such as Coffee, Fruit juice, UHT Mile, Jam, Custard, Tinned fish, Sponge puddings, Washing powder/liquid. Donations can be left in the basket in the Church porch or dropped off at the Foodbank – Tuesdays 10-11.30 or Fridays 12.30-2pm.
