Opportunity for Confession

There will be opportunity for Confession following Mass today and again following Mass on Sunday 23rd December.

Colin Mackintosh

Please pray for the happy repose of the soul of Colin Mackintosh and for his family and friends. Colin’s funeral arrangements will take place on Thursday 13th December at 1pm in church.

Christmas Collection for Flowers

We will be holding a second collection next Sunday for the annual Christmas collection for flowers for Church.

We require a number of readers for the carol service and Masses over Christmas,please see the poster in the Church Porch.

Used Stamps – Reminder

The Jesuit Refugee service can raise funds from your used stamps. All your Christmas stamps and any others gratefully received. Please cut out from the envelope leaving a large margin, and place in the box in the porch. Thank you.

North Shropshire Methodist Youth Choir – Christmas Concert

A Christmas Concert is being held at Market Drayton Methodist Church on Saturday 22nd December at 7pm. Free admission with an offering to be taken for Market Drayton Foodbank.

Christmas Music Concert

Please bring your red APF boxes into Church to be counted. They can be left at the back of Church. Thank you.

Christmas Angels

Thank you to all those who have been busy knitting and crocheting Christmas Angels, please leave these at the back of Church. The Angels will be given out as a blessing gift in the community.

Christmas Raffle for the Church Hall – last chance for tickets!

Last chance to buy tickets for the Christmas raffle being held to raise funds for our new Church Hall. Prizes include bottles of spirits, vouchers, chocolates and a complete set of hand-knitted nativity figures. If anybody would like to contribute further prizes, there is a box in the Church Porch and raffle tickets are available at £1 per strip.

Market Drayton Foodbank – Advent Appeal & Help Needed

Market Drayton foodbank have launched their advent appeal for this year which includes the ‘50p per day for Advent’ appeal and Reverse Advent Calendar. Please see the posters in the Church porch for further information and Reverse Advent Calendars are also available to collect.

The Foodbank also requires volunteers to help to sort and dot food at the Foodbank on Tuesdays 10-11.30 and Fridays 12.30-2pm. If you can help out, please just turn up at the Parish Rooms in Church Street. If you need any further information, please see Helen McSherry.
