Christmas Greetings

Wishing Parishioners and Visitors the Grace and Blessing of Our Lord’s Nativity.

 

New Year’s Day Mass

Mass on New Year’s Day will be held at Ss Peter & Paul, Newport at 10am and celebrates the solemnity of Mary, Mother of God.

 

Christmas Offerings

The Christmas Offerings are traditionally given to the clergy. Thank you for your generous offerings this Christmas.

 

Crib Offerings

Crib Offerings are for the Diocesan Children’s Society.

 

Used Stamps – Reminder

The Jesuit Refugee service can raise funds from your used stamps. All your Christmas stamps and any others gratefully received. Please cut out from the envelope leaving a large margin, and place in the box in the porch. Thank you.

 

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Job Club

Anyone who is seeking work and would like the support that the CAP Job Club can offer, please contact Carol Preston on 07399 852163. The new course is starting on Monday 7th January 2019. Job Club meets at Christchurch on Buntingsdale Road on Monday mornings from 10.30am-12.30pm.

 

Market Drayton Foodbank Advent Appeal & Help Needed

Thank you to everybody who has collected food using the Reverse Advent Calendar or collected money for the ‘50p per day for Advent’ appeal. Any food donations can be left in the basket in the Church porch or at the Foodbank on Friday 4th January 12.30-2pm.

Money donations can either be given to Helen McSherry or sent to the Foodbank Treasurer – Gail Ackerley. Please see the Foodbank website for information and details: https://marketdrayton.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-money/.

The Foodbank also requires volunteers to help sort and dot food at the Foodbank. If you can help out, please just turn up at the Parish Rooms in Church Street during one of the sessions – Tuesdays 10-11.30am and Fridays 12.30-2pm.
