Easter Flowers Collection – next weekend

 There will be a collection for the Easter Flowers next Sunday 14th April after Mass.


Opportunity for Confession

Confession will be available following Mass today in the Sacristy.


Morning and Evening Prayer 

Thank you to those who have been attending regularly but it would be lovely if we could see further new faces praying one of the Church’s best kept secrets! Prayer is held on Mondays at 7pm (with exposition) and Wednesdays at 9.30am. We look forward to seeing you there.


Prayer for Persecuted Christians

The next Churches Together prayer session for persecuted Christians will be held on Wednesday 17 April, between 2:00 and 3:30pm. The venue is Market Drayton Methodist Church Lounge. Holy Week Services

Holy Thursday (18 April) Evening Mass of The Lord’s Supper

At 7.30pm. Bus leaves for Ss Peter & Paul – Newport at 6.50pm.

Good Friday (19 April) The Celebration of The Lord’s Passion

At 3pm (Day of fasting and abstinence)

Holy Saturday (20 April)  Easter Vigil – time TBA.

Easter Sunday (21 April)  Mass at 11am.


Holy Thursday – Evening Mass of The Lord’s Supper

Holy Thursday Mass on 18th April will be held at Ss Peter & Paul, Newport at 7.30pm. There will be a mini-bus taking Parishioners to Mass and will leave at 6.50pm from the car park. Lenten Alms

A box in the wall in the Church Porch has been allocated for Lenten Alms.


Shrewsbury Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes 2019

This will be taking place from 25th July – 2nd August if travelling over land or 26th July – 1st August if travelling by air. Foodbank Appeal

The Foodbank still has extremely low stock levels at the moment. Please see the Foodbank website for most needed items https://marketdrayton.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food/ Any items of non-perishable food such as tinned fish, veg, fruit, coffee and toiletries, washing powder and size 5/6 nappies would be most appreciated. Thank you.


Offertory Envelopes

Next year’s envelopes commence this weekend 7th April and are available to collect in the Church Porch. If there are any Parishioners who would like to transfer to Standing Order payment, please speak to Helen McSherry – 01630 638177.


Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Volunteer Vacancies Update

CAP is seeking a Volunteer ‘Fresh Start’ Coach to support the Fresh Start Manager. The role is particularly suitable for those with previous experience in the area of addictions/dependencies and/or life controlling habits.
