Coronavirus (Covid-19) Guidance
Guidance has been given by the CBCEW (Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales) of which a copy can be found in the Church Porch and using the following link: https://www.cbcew.org.uk/home/our-work/health-social-care/coronavirus-guidelines/. We are now officially at stage 2 of the guidelines at the time of writing (15 March). The following actions/precautions are now being taken:
-Please wash your hands before coming to Mass & bring tissues
-Suspension of the exchange of the Sign of Peace
-Suspension of Holy Communion from the Chalice
-Please receive Holy Communion in the hand
Please take note of the posters in the Church Porch referring to universal good hygiene. Thank you.
Please note that any updates to Mass times and other services and activities held at Church and in our Parish will be available on the Church Website – www.ss-thomas-stephen.org.uk. If you do not have access to the internet, please leave your name, and email address on the list in the Church Porch TODAY and email updates will be sent out to you.
Please pray for the happy repose of the soul of Fr Anthony’s late father – Gordon Wild, who died peacefully, aged 91 years old.
Morning prayer will recommence during Lent at 9.30am on Wednesday mornings. Why not come and participate in the prayer of the Church.

School Uniform Hub
Churches Together in Market Drayton have booked two more Uniform distribution days on 7th and 9th April 10am – 2pm. Help will also be needed to set up from 8.30am. If you are able to help, please speak to Gail Ackerley on 07794 643194.
Market Drayton Foodbank URGENT Appeal
In just over 2 months since 1st January, the Foodbank has fed 565 adults and children with over 5 tonnes of food. The Foodbank now has exceptionally low stock levels of all food items – please see https://marketdrayton.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food/ for further details. if you are able to help with donations, please either leave in the Church porch or drop off at the Parish Rooms in Church Street during a Foodbank session – Tuesdays 10-11.30am and Fridays 12.30-2pm. Thank you very much for your support!
Prayer for Persecuted Christians
The next Churches Together prayer session for persecuted Christians will be held on 18th March between 2 and 3:30pm. We meet in the Lounge at Market Drayton Methodist Church. Next year’s offertory envelopes are available to collect in the Church Porch. If there are any Parishioners who would like to start using envelopes or transfer to a Standing Order payment, please speak to Helen McSherry 01630 638177.
Attention all Gift Aid Donors
The tax year 2019/20 will be coming to an end on 5th April and the Parish will undertake the process of claiming back the Gift Aid refunds on donations made in the tax year. If your circumstances have changed and you no longer pay income tax (or if for any other reason you do not wish to remain in the Gift Aid Scheme) please contact Helen McSherry 01630 638177/ firstname.lastname@example.org by 5th April, otherwise it will be assumed you have paid sufficient income tax for the Parish to reclaim Gift Aid on donations made in 2019/20. Please also let us know if you have changed your address.
Lawn Mowing – volunteers needed
